Week 4 HBCU Football Scores


Lamar 20, Texas Southern 17

A tight game saw Lamar edge out Texas Southern with a late field goal, securing their second win of the season. Texas Southern’s offense struggled in the final quarter, sealing their fate.


Southern 31, Prairie View A&M 24 (OT)

Southern came out on top in an overtime thriller, defeating Prairie View A&M with a touchdown drive. Prairie View fought hard but couldn't hold Southern in the extra period.


Troy 34, No. 20 Florida A&M 12

Troy dominated Florida A&M in a one-sided affair, capitalizing on key turnovers. FAMU struggled offensively against Troy’s solid defense.


McNeese 42, Alcorn State 14

McNeese was in control from start to finish, cruising past Alcorn State with a powerful rushing attack. Alcorn couldn’t recover after a slow start, suffering another tough loss.


Morgan State 56, Virginia-Lynchburg 7

Morgan State overwhelmed Virginia-Lynchburg, putting up 56 points in a complete team effort. The Bears' defense shut down any hope of a comeback.


Central Arkansas 56, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 17

Central Arkansas put on an offensive clinic, dismantling Arkansas-Pine Bluff with ease. UAPB had no answers as Central Arkansas extended their lead early and never looked back.


Austin Peay 59, Alabama A&M 16

Austin Peay delivered a dominant performance, scoring 59 points to rout Alabama A&M. The Bulldogs couldn’t stop Austin Peay’s high-powered offense in this lopsided contest.


Grambling State 41, Jackson State 20

Grambling State avenged last season’s loss with a convincing victory over Jackson State. The Tigers controlled both sides of the ball, snapping Jackson State’s winning streak.


Hampton 27, Howard 20

Hampton outlasted Howard in a competitive game, using a late touchdown to secure the win. Howard put up a strong fight but couldn’t get past Hampton’s defense in the final moments.


**Nicholls 66, Mississippi Valley State 0**

Nicholls completely dominated Mississippi Valley State, winning in a 66-0 blowout. MVSU had no answers for Nicholls' high-powered offense and relentless defense.


Richmond 38, Delaware State 24

Richmond's second-half surge led them past Delaware State in a hard-fought battle. Delaware State couldn’t keep up as Richmond pulled away in the final quarter.


Norfolk State 32, VMI 10

Norfolk State secured a comfortable win over VMI, using a balanced attack on offense and defense. VMI’s offense struggled throughout the game, leading to a decisive Spartan victory.


Tennessee Tech 24, Tennessee State 14

Tennessee Tech’s defense held strong in the second half, stifling Tennessee State's offense. Tech’s late-game execution sealed their win in a low-scoring battle.


Clark Atlanta 38, Bethune-Cookman 37

Clark Atlanta pulled off a thrilling one-point win over Bethune-Cookman, with a last-second score. Bethune-Cookman’s near-comeback fell short as Clark Atlanta held on for the win.


North Carolina Central 66, North Carolina A&T 24

North Carolina Central dominated their rivals North Carolina A&T, scoring 66 points in a stunning victory. A&T couldn’t contain Central’s explosive offense, suffering a tough rivalry loss.
